The UN says that Nevsun uses forced labour in its mines

The United Nations  Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights released a REPORT this week, detailing that "some of the most atrocious human rights violations are happening in Eritrea, an east-African nation that’s been compared to North Korea for its widespread forced labor practices. Workers quoted in the report say they were conscripted to work against their will for subcontractors of Canadian mining company Nevsun."

These practices are disgraceful, especially for company whose own Code of Ethics commits the company to "Honest, Lawful and Ethical Conduct" then goes on to maintain....

"Employees owe a duty to the Company to act with the highest integrity. Integrity requires, among other things, being honest and candid within the constraints of Company confidentiality, and dealing fairly and respectfully with suppliers, contractors, other employees, government officials or other third parties."

Please call (toll free) or write to Nevsum's R. Stuart (Tookie) Angus, Director Chairman (that's his photo below) and tell him that you are outraged by the UN Report. Then check to make sure your financial advisor (if you have one) to make sure you don't own any shares of Nevsun.
