Diabetes can be beaten!




"A 69-year-old American man with diabetes lost 68 lb. (31 kg) and dropped his insulin requirements by more than 50 per cent after adopting a whole-foods and plant-based diet.
The results of the “dietary therapy,” achieved without calorie counting, portion control or a fitness routine, are outlined in a December case report in the British Medical Journal."

Alberta's best carbon tax system, Alfred E. Newman, Cholesterol down and diabetes up


Alberta carbon tax regime to be most stringent in Canada, Ecofiscal Commission report says

Thanks to the government led by Premier Rachel Notley, Albert, Canada will have the most progressive carbon pricing system in Canada by 2020. Alberta is home to the (dirty) oil sands, Canada's single largest producer of carbon emissions.

Cholesterol drugs may cause diabetes

OK... we know that all drugs have side effects but this recent Finnish study found that taking statins (drugs that lower cholesterol) may lead to the patient developing diabetes. The solution: DIET and EXERCISE - both of which have no side effects - other than good ones.

As a devoted reader of Mad Magazine and Tales from the Crypt when I was in my teens, it is with great sadness that I announce of the passing of Mr. Jack Davis, Mad's premier illustrator and cartoonist.
