Happy Birthday William Heath Robinson

“When life itself seems lunatic, who knows where madness lies? Perhaps to be too practical is madness. To surrender dreams — this may be madness. Too much sanity may be madness — and maddest of all: to see life as it is, and not as it should be!”
― Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra, Don Quixote

William Heath Robinson (31 May 1872 – 13 September 1944) was an English cartoonist, illustrator and artist, best known for drawings of whimsically elaborate machines to achieve simple objectives.

Writing my obituary

This morning, I was listening to Melanie's "Look What They've Done to Song Ma!" on YouTube and working on chapter nine of my fifth novel.

The main character was struggling to write his obit when SHAAZAM! I suddenly recognized that a year or so ago Mother Nature began gently whispering in my ear that it was time I wrote my own. So,  not wanting 'them' to do something to my song  - intentionally or unintentionally - I began.

Have you begun yours?

Happy Birthday Wolfgang Mozart

Happy Birthday Johannes Chrysostomus Wolfgangus Theophilus Mozart, Jan 27 1765 to Dec. 5, 1791.

Nothing better than a spinach smoothie, thoughts of my grandkids and your Horn Concerto to get my mornings started.
