Please support our Indiegogo fundraising campaign

Hello Friends in the Blogsphere....

Please 'follow' and 'share' our Indiegogo campaign on your social network. We have a great team of 18 actors and a crew of 21. Unfortunately, we lost a key crew member 5 days into our 11 day production and we now have 30 days to raise the $136,860 we need to complete our indie horror film

.... Many thanks

My comedic horror film is finished! (well, almost)

Our director David Higinio called 'that's a wrap' at 5:34 yesterday morning. It was an honour working with our professional team of eighteen actors and twenty-one crew members.

The editor now has the footage and within a couple weeks we should have a compelling trailer which we will incorporate into our crowdfunding campaign.

Our horror film CUT IT OUT! is nearly 'born'

As the props and Craft Services supplies grow, the walking space in our living room shrinks. Thank goodness I have an understanding wife. Please follow our comedic horror film CUT IT OUT! on FB, Instagram and TicTok.... many thanks

Great news!

Just informed that my feature film screenplay 'The Cautionary Chronicle of Quincy Collins' is a finalist in the widely respected Cinefluential screenwriting competition.
CCQC is "The story of a guilt-ridden teenager who, after being freed by the court on a technicality, becomes a social pariah and a hated man when he insists on punishing himself by wearing to school a t-shirt that has the words "I am a rapist" printed on the front and back."

The script is based on one of my novels.

We're forming a new motion picture studio

Great meeting (our first) with l-r, me, Javid, Brinda, and Gunny - all seasoned producers. Looks as if we will be forming a motion picture studio to produce the seven feature films we have in various stages of development, funding and completion.

I just incorporated my own motion picture studio!

This morning, I incorporated MANKS Motion Picture Studios.

Look out  Warner Bros. Entertainment., Universal Studios Entertainment and Walt Disney Studios - there's a new player at the table and he produces, "Great stories, well told." (

I'm going to Santa Monica's American Film Market!

Just booked my plane ticket to November's American Film Market. Hoping to interest a film hashtagagent in my indie hashtagdrama HAPPY FATHER'S DAY.

We have our star, director, cinematographer, stunt co-ordinator and funding from Alberta, Ontario and our production partner in Greece but we're still $1.4m (Canadian) short of our $2.6 budget.

We begin shooting in February 2019.

Pls check our our two-minute promotional trailer on www.manks-productions.com h

My 26th screenplay

I've devoted so much time and energy over the past two years to producing my first feature film HAPPY FATHER'S DAY that it occurred to me that I haven't written a screenplay in years... so!... this morning I began my 26th screenplay, the socio-political comedy EXODUS...

"Two Los Angeles black women, a surgeon and a Starbuck's barista, form the Democratic Republic of California and separate from America."

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY: a Tragedy now has a great publicist in Sandra Gabriel

I just hired media guru Sandra Gabriel Gabriel PR to mastermind the social and traditional media campaign behind our upcoming Indiegogo $3.2 million fundraising effort in Canada, US, France and Mexico.

31 days before the launch of the Indiegogo campaign for my first feature film goes live.
