Not supporting unions is not supporting yourself
Shame on the CNE officials for allowing this dispute to drag on but the most shame goes to EVERYONE who crossed the worker's picket line to attend the CNE. If it weren't for unions our children would still be working in sweat shops, health and safety rules would not exist and we would not have 5 day work weeks or vacations.
Unions are only as strong as its membership and its membership is only as strong as the community.

Labour unions are our friends
For hundreds of years management and the wealthy have tried to squash labour unions but we will prevail. We workers will stick together because if we don't they will stick it to us. Never cross a picket line. Never fail to support your union. And if you don't have a union - start one.
"It was the labor movement that helped secure so much of what we take for granted today. The 40-hour work week, the minimum wage, family leave, health insurance, Social Security, Medicare, retirement plans. The cornerstones of the middle-class security all bear the union label."—President Barack Obama, speech at Laborfest, September 6, 2010
