Zoos suck, Netflixs rocks and a gutsy guy named John Lewis

"Zoo shuttering after visits down 'catastrophically' " - CTV News

The owner of a local zoo cries 'foul" - claiming that the folks from PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) are responsible for the downturn in attendance. Evidently PETA has been complaining for years that the zoo abused their animals. The question of whether they did abuse the animals or not is not nearly as important as..."Why are we still putting animals in zoos?"

"Netflix's new N and the state of logo design" - Wired Magazine

Interesting article in Wired about logo design about the fascinating world of graphic and logo design. Graphic design isn't brain surgery but it is kinda rocket science and just as cool.

John Lewis, gun-control crusader and last of the 'Big Six' - BBC News

Kudos to John Lewis who was one of the U.S. Representatives who participated in a sit-down protest in an effort to force the government to pass gun control legislation. Back in the '60s, Mr. Lewis was one of the "Big Six" - brave souls who marched with Dr. Martin Luther King, faced-down the southern racists, their police, their dogs, and their water hoses.
