Why did we have no vaccines for Ebola and Zika? - both diseases we have known about for decades. We didn't because the pharmaceutical companies made a conscious decision not to develop vaccines since the number of black and brown people affected didn't justify them spending money on research and development. It wasn't a single white American contracted Ebola that the pharmaceutical companies, and governments, acted.
Please send an email to your President or Prime Minister and tell her/him that your countries best hope of surviving the next deadly outbreak is to fund the World Health Organisation.
Pharmaceutical companies care about profit - not people.
