"The Earth has entered a new period
of extinction, a study by three US universities has concluded, and
humans could be among the first casualties.
The report, led by the universities of Stanford, Princeton and Berkeley, said vertebrates (that includes us folks) were disappearing at a rate 114 times faster than normal."
What can we do to prevent our own demise?
. Conserve energy
. Cut back on our reliance on fossil fuels
. Support solar, wind, and other sustainable sources of energy
. Email your local politician and tell her/him that you want your country to reduce its carbon emissions
And do it now.
