"In fall 2012, Denise Barlage (l) and co-worker Venanzi Luna (r) led the first strike against a Walmart in the United States. Unionized Walmart workers from Italy, Uruguay, Chile and South Africa flew in to support them, walking them back into the store when the strike ended so that managers could not harass or fire them for striking."
