Canadian politician expressed 'outrage' over RCMP's behaviour

"Ralph Goodale, the public safety minister, says he has expressed outrage to the country's top Mountie over the latest allegations of sexual harassment within the police force.

Ralph Goodale says he told RCMP Commissioner Bob Paulson he expects a comprehensive, transparent investigation, strong discipline, support for victims and a plan to end what he calls "this toxic workplace behaviour."

The strong words come after CBC News reported allegations of unwanted sexual touching, bullying and rampant nudity in the workplace at the explosives training unit of the Canadian Police College in Ottawa"

Come on people! Canada's Royal Canadian Mounted Police have had a leadership and HR problem for years. The solution - or at least a large part of the solution - is easy, and applicable to every police force in North America:

. Fire the Chief and all her/his underlings
. Require every cop to have attended 4 or more years of university before applying for the force
. Lose the militarism - the uniforms, the saluting, the marching, the ranks, etc
. Instruct HR on how to spot a sociopath - and to stop hiring them.
. Only allow cops to work 5 years on the force - then 5 years at some other occupation - then back on the force for 5 years
