Interesting interview that appeared in today's Globe and Mail - which, if you didn't know - is Canada's right wing business/capitalist newspaper.
The interview was with Christyn Ciafarani (pictured above) who is the new president of the Canadian Association of Defense and Security Industries, the people who make - often for export - bombs, military software systems, missiles, guns, poison gas, biological weapons, and a miscellaneous array of other devices that are designed to kill, maim, destroy, level, slaughter, choke, blind, and poison people and property.
Ms. Ciafarani, 43, is a self-admitted 'hard core foodie' who loves restaurants with "super tacky floors and greasy fries double-fried in oil." And our first indication that she has serious delusion issues is when she tells the interviewer that she works out a whole hour a day (wow!) just so that she can eat double - fried french fries.
That article goes on to quote Ms. Ciafarani, who says, "employees of defense and security companies identify themselves as technology workers rather than defense workers" - a lovely bit of self-serving rubbish.
"Even if the amount of spending (her industry is hoping that the military friendly Conservative party wins this month's election - thus opening floodgates of spending) is half or a quarter, it is still a sizable amount of money to DO SOMETHING SIGNIFICANT FOR THIS COUNTRY"
Wow! If you think that making bombs and poison gas has anything to do with bettering Canada, or this earth we live on then I nominate you - Ms. Cialarani - for this year's Seriously Deluded Award.
