J.M.W. Turner - amazing painter




"The Sun of Venice Going to Sea" - 1843 

"In this picture, Venice slips into the distance behind a fishing boat setting out dawn. Its crew seems unable, as Turner wrote, of a "demon in grim repose" who "expects his evening prey."
