"The whole Himalayas lives on tourism"
The earthquake in Nepal was a tragedy and my heart goes out to its people. However, perhaps this is an opportunity for the people of Nepal to building a real economy - not a hollow one that relies on tourism. And maybe its time to leave Everest alone for a decade or two or three. Allow it to cleanse itself of the trash, discarded oxygen bottles, and the bodies of dead climbers.
