When good intentions take a life

I feel for Emma Czornobaj, the woman who stopped her car on the highway to help some ducks cross. She inadvertanly triggered an accident the claimed the life of two motorcyclists. For Ms. Czornabaj it was a case of 'damned if you do and damned if you don't'.

If I were the judge in this case I'd have let her 'walk' - jail isn't going to bring back the dead. Living with the knowledge that you killed two people is punishment enough.

Aldous Huxley once said,

"Hell isn't merely paved with good intentions; it's walled and roofed with them. Yes, and furnished too."
