Two reports released today. One was that America tortured supposed 'terrorists' and the other is that researchers are closer to developing a 'fat pill' that will, in their words, "dispense with the need for treadmills."
These two news items may seem unrelated but they are not because both have to do with laziness and lack of character - our own!
Obesity is the result of overeating and under-exercising. Smart eating and exercise only requires energy and commitment.
The plague of torture is the result of our laziness to hold our particular government/police/military accountable for their disgraceful crimes against humanity. And why do we not?... because we are all (including myself) prone to periods of laziness and gutlessness.
From this day forward, I resolve to eat less (and smarter), exercise more and better defend human rights.
