Celebrating 30 years of rejection letters
Today is a bit of a celebration. I just received my 30th rejection letter from the Academy Nicholl Fellowships in Screenwriting .
Yes, I have been entering this contest every year since 1988 and will continue to enter until they find me dead, slumped over my MacBook Air. When I began applying they received about 400 or so applications. This year there were nearly 7000!
Wow, there are more fledgling screenwriters in the world than PhDs driving Uber cabs.
