What is this fascination with having booze on every corner?

"It's good for the people"??? Really?

Alcohol is not only a toxic substance but alcohol usage adds billions of dollars to this country's health care costs and results in untold family and societal decay. Oh, and bye the by "Dude in the Striped Shirt". Additionally, you're not doing anybody any good with predatory payday loans (a huge source of revenue for biker gangs)

Ban the drinking of alcohol

Why the heck does our government even allow the production, import and drinking of alcohol? 

"a colorless volatile flammable liquid that is the intoxicating constituent of wine, beer, spirits, and other drinks, and is also used as an industrial solvent" 

In the US, twenty-five to forty percent of all patients in general hospital beds (not in maternity or intensive care) are being treated for complications of alcohol-related problems.

Annual health care expenditures for alcohol-related problems in the US amount to $22.5 billion. The total cost of alcohol problems is $175.9 billion a year. (the Canadian numbers are likely proportionate)
