Buffalo Blacque - A Canadian western

Still from last weekend's Buffalo Blacque photo shoot. 

Will include the finished 80 second trailer with our application to the Alberta Media Fund for development funding. My professional actor son, James Andrew Russell, was the stand-in for this shoot but for the feature we hope country western star Milton Patton will play the lead in our Canadian western.

FYI: Kwanzaa is a celebration held in the United States and in other nations of the African diaspora in the Americas and lasts a week. 

The celebration honors African heritage in African-American culture and is observed from December 26 to January 1

Payday loan sharks, a shark named Hillary Clinton and Louisiana

Congrats to the American governments Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) for their proposal to finally regulate 'payday loan' companies.

Companies such as Moneymart, Pay Day King, Pay Day America, Advance America are loan sharks who prey on the poor.

Not surprisingly, the  the proposal is opposed by Community Financial Services Association of America (CFSA), the folks who represent these crooks who insist that they are lovely people who are just providing a valuable service to the downtrodden.

Everytime I see this woman's fake smile it makes my skin crawl. It's not surprise that the FBI decided not to charge Hillary Clinton for using her email account inappropriately. The who EmailGate sounded like a politically-motivated witch-hunt to begin with.

The real pity is that the World Court doesn't charge her with war crimes for what killing innocent civilians in the Middle East and Africa, and that the people of America don't recognise that electing her will represent a victory for the big banks, the military industry, and government-level corruption.

Forgive me for stating the obvious, but if a community or neighbourhood is ill-served by the police department (or garbage department or tree-trimming department) then the folks of that community should just kick out the incompetent government service - the cops in this case - and do the job themselves.

Come on fellow Black Folks.... have we forgotten what Marcus Garvey, Malcolm X, Huey Newton, and the Guardian Angels have taught us about the need for self-reliance?
